Hi there. What a great site. I used to be on the ivacuums forum before Chris Nash ruined it and then the whatsthebestvacuum.com forum. I love vacuums and have been scoffed at by my family because of it (I guess in the deep south boys can't like other boys or vacuums, go figure!). It is so nice to know there are others "just like me"! Is there a gallery where people can post pictures of their collections? I haven't officially joined the VCCC yet, but I plan to soon. I have the application, though I don't know why they don't move the whole process (including the payment process) to online. Thanks ;O)

Welcome Bobby

Glad to have you here. You can view pictures of collections by clicking on "Vacuum Collections" on the home page. You can add pictures of your collection by going down to the bottom of the Discuss-O-Vac page and click on the "Upload Photos To Your Photo Album" button and following the instructions. The first time you add photos you need to email me at fnelson487@sbcglobal.net and I will add a link on the Vacuum Collections page to go to your photos.

Fred

Hi Bobby,

Welcome! I'm a fairly new member of the VCCC myself...a little over 3 months to be exact. You should definitely think about joining for the 2007 membership.

I used to post on the Ivacuumcleaners.com forum all the time back in '02-03 or somewhere around that time frame, and I do remember you on there as well. Wasn't your handle "Vacluver" or something like that? I also remember Tom Gasko and Carmine from WTBV (where I haven't signed up yet because I'm old-school and mainly prefer vintage sweepers) posting occasionally.

The formerly great Ivacuumcleaners.com forum really started going to hell sometime around mid-'03 or so; quite a shame as I really liked it. The name "Chris Nash" does sound familiar, but what I remember were s**t-stirrers posting under the handles of "James" and "Greg". Of course that could have just been Mr. Nash himself, but in a pseudonymous disguise. I do remember one poster having his name used by someone else, in addition to that. Probably the work of one person.
