I'm feeling sick about it too. We moved east in August and somewhere, somehow I don't know how it could have happened but my Duo Power self propelled is gone? I just went to the mini storage today to pick up most of my remaining stuff and it wasn't there. I think in the last few hours crunch of loading up the stuff and cleaning out our old house I must have somehow put it aside and we drove off. I do know for a fact that I was doing the final housecleaning once it was totally empty using one of my two Kirby Traditions and I did leave that behind as there was literally no more room in the moving truck, my car, our our pickup, but how could I have left my prized possession behind. |

Oh Pete, I'm really sorry to hear that. You've really been through the mill with this move and just now starting to get settled, and here you are. Could you call the new owner of your former residence and see if she has it? |

I suppose I could but chances are they've tossed it.. no bags available anymore. Thing is only a couple of weeks ago I was out thrifting and I found about a dozen of the Kenmore bags for it.. 5025 type. |

Pete, I'm sorry to hear that as well. Believe me, I know when you've had something for that long, it becomes a part of you.

Well it's been nagging at me all day and will probably continue to do so for a bit, or until I find another one which won't be quite the same. Why it was kinda special was it was the very first vac I ever bought myself and was brand new at the time and quite expensive (at the time for me on a starting wage) that plus it was the TOL model and like you all can understand I wanted it soooo badly back then. I'll get over it just as you do a bee sting. |

Pete
I am so sorry to haer about your vacuum. I am going through something like you are but not with a vacuum cleaner. We recently got new carpets and in my move to get everything out of the house and into the garage i decided to go through things and sent alot of stuff to the thrift shop. i think i got rid of all my Christmas CD's by accident. I haven't missed them until today when i couldn't find them. I am just sick about it. I know it's not the same as losing a cherished vacuum but i am feeling the sentimental loss as you are. I'm 43 so the old music back in the day for me was the Ray Conniff Singers, Mitch Miller, plus i had the Supremes, Barbra Striesand. I guess these can be replaced. I will keep my eyes open for a Duo Power! |

The Supremes....
Marty, you touched a nerve. One of the happiest moments in my life was about two years ago when I got to meet Mary Wilson in Branson. She was part of a huge concert there and put on a great show. I have the christmas album that was released a few years ago which included Florence Ballard's solo on Silent Night. It, along with Ella's Swinging Christmas are my fav's. |

Peter and Andy
Check out the Supremes on You Tube, lots of great stuff. Pete , sorry to hijack the thread. Did you call the people at your old house to see if the Duo Power was still there? |

I haven't called yet. I'd have to call my old neighbors to see if they even know the new people yet..it was a rural area but I can't see them keeping it since they were planning on totally redoing the house, new floors, carpet etc probably to resell in that hot market. |

Hijacking the thread
Actually, I should take some responsibility for that. Pete, I am sorry to hear about your loss. If I'm thinking about the right cleaner, I actually had one that a family friend gave to me when I was a kid. It was a really neat cleaner and I loved playing with the different speeds on it. I can't remember what happened to it, but I do miss it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! |

Christmas Music
I was at my folks house last night and i was telling my Mom about tossing my Christmas music and how upset i was. My Mom told me the CD's were there in the stereo cabinet all along. In fact she was listening to them when she and Dad put up the tree! Big sigh of relief!
