Here 'tis...this year's Hoover Christmas tree located in Hooverland Jr., North Canton Ohio. My little boy had a great time helping me put together this vintage silver tree. I have to send out a special thanks to Jeff Parker for this mint condition tree which was a gift from him a few years back. I have to thank Grandma for saving her tree spotlight for me too. Together they make for one very interesting tree!

What vacuums would everyone like to see under their tree this year?????

vac under my tree!!

Love the tree and remember them well. Have a friend who displays his in the bathtub of his main bathroom. Along with
his 28 or 30 other trees. He only has to Kenmore vacs but all
of those trees. I just don't get it!!
My Christmas vac will be on the way at the end of the week. I
bought the Air Way 77, on ebay for 39.99 today!! That makes 3
Air ways for my collection.
Had friends in for a brunch today. Four new people who had not seen my 33+vacuums. One work friend thought I just had
a bunch of recent plastic models. She was so impressed that
my old Hoover, Wooden handle upright went back to 1918!
It was good fun to share!!

Of Hoovers, I'd like to find anything older than a Model 102 (I have two of those) and most of all I'd like to find a wartime Rexair Model 3.

Rexair model 3

Clay:
RJ found a nice one in St. Louis after the last convention. I know that he doesn't care a thing for Rexair, so perhaps he bought it (for $20) to bring to the next convention and gift it to you. Or not. Anyway, Mike Pletcher has THREE model 3 Rexairs. They are not that hard to find. It's just hard to get one of those guys to part with one.

If I EVER come across one, you know that it's yours immediately.

As for me personally, when I know that a friend (and fellow club member) wants a certain vacuum, and I find one, I immediately make arrangements for them to have it. I don't 'horde' my machines, but share them with people. As most of the 'old timers' in the club can attest.

Now, as for the Christmas tree, I would love to have all my old friends from the club sitting around my tree on Christmas morning, and we could all get out some of my vintage machines and run them. THAT would be a wonderful Christmas. I don't really care a thing for the vacuums, it's the people (my club friends) that I care for most.

Under the tree..........or menorah.........

I would love to find an Air-Way Dirtmaster, Kenmore Imperial, swivel handle Apex and a Hoover 972.

Of course I'm not holding out any hope. It's fun to dream!

Our tree at the store....

My boss, quite to my surprise, allowed me to put up my aluminum christmas tree as our store's tree... I went out and bought red and silver ornaments, and I did bring in my color wheel, too.

And then...

I had to put my favorite cleaner in the store under the tree, you know... just to see how it looked. :-)

Love the trees everybody! I always liked those trees. Lux G thinks I should put up a tree in my apt, something I've never done. Maybe I'll keep watch for one of these.

You won't believe it...

but I think we have that EXACT tree!! Same brand and everything!!

If I could have ANY vacuum in the world for Christmas, it would be anything. I don't think this year I will get any vacuums. But Toby...Toby gave me some parts to my Rainbow D and a GE Roll-Easy!! I said to him that that could be my Christmas present. But I would love some Air-Way vacuums. Those are the best and my favorite. I soooo badly want and Air-Way upright. Any model would do, even. See, I am not too picky!

But seriously, I think we have that same tree! The only thing different is my color wheel is painted to look like dull brass. I love those trees! They are just so cool!
