Friday and Saturday of this week, we had a gathering of some Automaticwasher.org members in El Campo and Bellville, respectively. Many fun loads were washed in the GE Combo, Frigidaire WO-65-2, Maytag A906, Whirlpool Calypso, and other fun machines.

David (Swingette) was able to join us and brought along quite a few of his machines to both locations, which I must add are all just MINT! His Hoover 913 is to die for, as well as his all-original Eureka 260! I brought along my Convertible 65, Junior U1025, and Convertible 68 to El Campo, and there were some interesting vacuuming festivities! Jason on AW.org brought along his new Constellation, since neither David nor I had really used one and played with one "up close" before. Needless to say I was quite impressed, and it wasn't as loud as on the video. The plush carpeting at Glenn's house muffled it even more.

David also generously gave me a huge stack of fantastic literature, and a Wards/Eureka parts machine to use for my Bradford canister. I'll have to find something to send to him in exchange for that shortly!

If you want to see ALL of the pictures taken, look for the related threads on AW.org, which are both in the Imperial and Super forums. On the Imperial Forum, look for Thread #8700, titled "Texas Wash-In Day 2--Bellville", and on the Super Forum, look for Thread #8693, titled "Texas Wash-In In Progress". I'm including a few vacuum-related pictures here.

First, we have David's Eureka Commercial, Royal 880, Eureka 260, and Eureka Retrovac.

Austin, the snack table picture, mercy! im glad you like the cleaners so much. the *retrovac* gets lots of attention wherever it goes. too bad Eureka only manufactured it for like 6 minutes a coupla years ago! also, everyone should make a point to meet Austins mother, Venus. she is an absolute doll to have made all this possible. thanks *retromom*!

Hello

The Eureka 260 upright looks and runs great and has a new brushroll in it. I just want to make room for other machines.

Hello

It looks like David's 260 pictured above. It has the wood Disturbulator with plastic beater bars.

Post# 3272-10/31/2006-13:13 ||| RobGwisdala (Troy OH USA)

Hello

Hi Kyle,
The shipping is $50...Whatever change I have left from shipping, I will give it back to you.
Are you on Yahoo IM? I am maytagdishwasher on there.
I will put a new bag/belt/light bulb in the sweeper for you so it will be ready to work.

Here's the link to the Imperial Forum so everyone can see the wash-related pictures. The Bellville thread (by Westytoploader, which is my "handle" on there) is still pretty close to the top. But first, here's one...

The phrase "Oy gottenu" comes to mind right now...

I *was* going to say something, then I remembered who we're dealing with. Probably best to just let it slide at this point, but I agree.

Trying HARD to hold back from speaking what's REALLY on my mind here. Seriously, I am.

Hello

Hi Austin,
I used to be a member of AutomaticWasher.org from 2001-2003...I had a falling out with Unimatic1140 in 2003 and I left the club. Some members made fun of me having OCD/ADD and being in Special Education classes from 7th-12 grades...I retaliated by posting religious messages. That is how I got banned from the club. Since 2003, I am a reformed person. I have forgiven Unimatic1140 and the members of AutomaticWasher.org. I have been on meds since 2004 and I am doing much better.
Sincerely,
Robert "Rob" Gwisdala

Austin

I kinda wanted to say something too but best for me to sit down and shut up sometimes... Where did you get you that WONDERFUL 913 ?

Post# 3329-11/1/2006-12:35 ||| Swingette (Texas)

sudsy

that 913 is a combination of two model 913's. from a (mint condition) early model 913 i took the bag and agitator. i kept the base (with multi-position rug adjuster) and handle from the more recently made 913. i sold the other 913, but sometimes think about it. the cord and handle on that other model were absolutely MINT!

David

If you come across any more of them PLEASE PLEASE let me know ...Thanks
