Time to say Thank You to a lot of different people.
It seems like only a short time back there were a lot of us at the St. Louis convention planning for the next two years.
Well with the work of a lot of different club members and
members from the Automatic Washer Club we have seen a lot of good things happen.
At the convention several committee's were appointed, the web site planning, the convention planning and a newletter advisory committee. These committees have worked very hard in the last four months.
Fred Nelson is the Chairperson for the website committe and we can all see those results. Robert Seger (webmaster and designer for Automatic Washer)helped Fred learn the ropes, and spent countless hours trying to make this a special place for all the vacuum cleaner collectors. They also had help from Charles Lester (webmaster of the old VCCC web site) in transferring information from the old site to the new site.
The committee members also enlisted input from other club members.
This will always be an ongoing project as we move forward and find new ways to present information to our members.
The convention committee is also ahead of schedule. The hotel and all details relating to the 2007 convention have either been finalized or are in the process of being finalized. Charlie Watrous and Greg Nunn have visited the hotel properties and assure me that we will be well pleased. Greg lives in the Ohmaha area and has been a great asset to this committee. Of course if there is a bargin to be had Charlie will be there getting us the best bang for the buck. Watch in the upcoming newsletters for more details.
RJ Vanik did a bang up job on our last newsletter. The photos were awesome. Going forward we probably won't be using as much color photo due to the cost of printing color. The size of our club does not warrant the quanity size to have color pages done at cheaper rates. We hope to have the next newsletter out by the 2nd week in December. Fred Nelson has graciously volunteered to help with the layout and computer skills needed to get this done. So if you have articles of interest please email them to Alex Tabor or myself before November 15th so we can be working on the layout ect.
So as you can see a lot of people are working together to make this club a fun and exciting place to be. Please take time to Thank members who you know are working on projects and offer your assistance when ever possible.
Keep posted to this site and watch for the next newsletter so you can be well informed of all that is happening here in VACUUM LAND!!!
P.S. If I have missed someone please bring it to my attention.
