I get the impression that I'm not the only one on this board that's into them...

Apart from anything with Bette, Joan or John Waters' involvement, I have to say that I do love the original version of Stepford Wives (not the modern remake - why do they bother?)

Every time I go to the supermarket nowadays, I have the most terrible urge to put on a big floppy hat and refer to perfect strangers as Bobby or Joanne, whilst loitering round the cleaning products aisle...

Si

My three favorite camp fests

Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane
and, of course, The Wizard of Oz

i am a true fan of the great Diva, the Empress of Emotion, Joan Crawford. so it is with mixed feelings that i recommend her movies as camp. everyone has seen the obvious ones. you have not lived till youve seen *Harriet Craig*, *Female on the Beach* and *Torch Song*. *Strait-Jacket* and *Berserk* are also good. *Sudden Fear*, *Autumn Leaves* and *Johnny Guitar* are for the thoughtfull viewer who is ready to see a Hollywood veteran show you how its done!

anyone who thinks they like Crawford should take a look at her earlier movies as well. Crawford was white-hot in the late 20s/early 30s, much like Madonna was in the 80s. Joan became a star in the silent era. *Our Dancing Daughters* and *Our Modern Maidens* are two excellent Crawford silents released on video. *Possessed*(with Clark Gable), *Dancing Lady*, *Chained*, *Rain*, *Sadie McKee* and *Letty Lynton* show us a supple and radiant Crawford. Crawford in the 30s stood for Strength, Cheekbones, Lips, and Eyes for DAYS, with a dash of freckles and a killer athletic body. everyones days can be brighter with a little more Crawford. btw, THIS is what a *Star* looks like...
