I have received an email from a very nice couple who ran a vac shop for years and are retiring. Their names are Vern and Daisy Stark, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa (no relation to Starks Vacuums in Portland, Oregon).
They have a fine collection of vintage and antique vacuum cleaners that they wish to sell, as a lot, to one person. Preferably someone in their neck of the woods who can just come and pick them up.
I have attached the photos they sent me (see subsequent posts for all the pix), and here is their inventory of the collection:
Old Bellows Vacuum: Cyclone vacuum cleaner. Manufactured in Bradford, PA. Patents applied for. Vacuum is red mounted On wood platform. Was from the SingMaster mansion in Harper, IA.
Hoover advertisement (It beats-as it sweeps-as it cleans) Has the Army "E" Navy award on it. Hoover received four times for high Achievements in the production of essential war equipment

The New Sentinel Series
They are asking $200 for the lot, which I believe is a very good deal as there are some nice finds there. The Eureka, Air-way, Hamilton Beach and Premier alone are probably worth that much to most of you.
