Yay Kyle!
That's great news! I had initially been contacted by the producer of the show asking me if I thought any collectors would be interested in being on the show, and I forwarded his email around. Is that how you ended up getting on there? Be sure to let us know the air date!

Mullally
a little off subject, but ive gotten the impression from watching one or two live interviews with Mullally that she is quite different from the will&grace persona. i wonder if she feels pressure to act like her w&g character? Kyle, have you practiced answers to the questions she is likely to ask? |

Megan Mullally
was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and talked about her new show. If it is as she describes it, it's gonna be a fantastic show! She talked about how she grew up with all the great variety and talk shows in the "Golden Age" of television, and how much she loved Merv Griffin and Carol Burnett and Johnny Carson and Laugh-In and that her show would contain elements from all these shows.

any cleaner you show should be as original as possible (certainly the original bag and hose). anything thats scratched or aged or dirty will just look like an old vacuum. i say take an extension cord and show how far the Constellation can be launched when the hose is disconnected. im sure you could launch it clear across the stage! if you had an eject-bag Electrolux, you could rig it up with talcum or flour to launch the bag on air, hopefully across the stage as well. if you took the 61, perhaps you might mention the original selling price, and contrast it with the price of other common household items, to demonstrate what a luxury a vacuum was. think of showing a cleaner that is unique or quirky in some way, like the Constellation. if you plugged the CURRENT Hoover Constellation, perhaps The Hoover Co would send you some kind of goodie (lol). |

What shall I bring
I'd pick your two nicest machines. Bob of Hollywood has a good point about the Constellation -- showing how it "floats on air" and maybe if you mention that Hoover is making the machine once again they'll appreciate the plug and send you one!
