I was actually very lucky..

This came from Ebay and is one of the rarest "modern" Hoover cleaners over here. The last one wasnt in this good condition and went for over £30 and the one before was about £70. This cost me £21 + postage :)

Congrats Seamus!

That style model was the BOL Elite over here. Its actually still made in a commercial variation which is a decent little cleaner.
Glad you got that!

400 watts? is that a smaller motor than the US versions? if yes, thats not a bad thing.

this is like a all-red model i rebuilt recently. the whole thing, motor and all, comes apart very easily.

one thing i discovered about the auto-adj models, the machine behaves like a vintage Convertible (two position) set to *normal*. the brushroll just skims flat glue-down carpet.

are spares for this model easy to get, Seamus?

fun cleaner!

:)

Jeff

I was very impressed as ive been after one of these for a while- will shoot ya a mail when im a bit more sober :)!

David

I believe 1200W is 12A @120V so this is approx 4 Amp I guess- more than enough to do the Job IMHO :). Bags, belts and the brushroll are still listed by our supplier but other parts are NLA or special order :(.

So there ya go- we sent you the Innovation and you sent us this!- its a pity Hoover didnt stay whole so things could continue the same way!

Actually 400 watts with 240 volts would equate to aprox. 1.67 amps!
Amazing compared to the power hungry monsters out now.

The Amps Comparison....

Hey Nicholas

I worked it out as being approx 4A @120V because its the easiest way to compare power with the US versions ;)

One more pic

Running with a genuine Type A bag- our supplier actually lists them for the C1417 that was sold over here ;)
