I was wondering if you guys wash your brush rolls. I just got done washing a brushroll from an oreck 9800 upright that I plan on selling in the next few weeks. I'm wondering if washing them does anything bad to them? Its a ball bearing type brush roll and I just wanted to make sure what I was doing is ok for the bearings. |

im not aquainted with Oreck brushrolls but, in general, you dont want to wet bearings (or steel!) without an effort to completely dry and lubricate afterwards. |

if you want to make the brushroll(LOOK CLEAN) use one of those things that looks like a tooth brush but it has metal brushes. I use they ALL the time and it works like magic! |
