HI all I have a rainbow d3 and I was talking to my on friend who owns a vacuum shop he has a majestic triple crown there that he said he would trade me for the rainobow just a straight trade,. I like the filter queens eass of use no water. But I dotn like the really thick power nozzle. YOu guys have ahd more expirence then i have. Should I keep the rainbow or go for the Filter Queen.

filter Queen

I would deffinately go with the Filter Queen because the Rain Bow is a messy task to clean. I mean yes the rainbow is efficent because it uses water as a filter but if the water is in the machine for a while and unattended it starts to smell as with the Filter Queen you empty it when it is full and it has much more Suction power than the Rainbow. so if I had to choose It would have to be the Filter Queen.

FILTER QUEEN reigns, and I know what you mean about the power nozzle, but it really is a better vac, IMO, for whatever that's worth!

Although I am a Hoover person, I have heard that Rainbows are very messy to clean and I have also heard good things about the Filter Queens.

I will also cast a vote for the Filter Queen. The Filter Queen is very efficient because of its cyclonic action and the filter is above the dirt and at the top of the container.I don't like the newer FQ machines-like the older all metal ones-they also had more powerful motors.

At least one person needs to vote for the Rainbow. So that's my vote.
I grew up with a D3A. I hated using it until my dad replaced the cut off power nozzle hose with a longer one. Then I loved it.
It would still be running but my dad bent the armature shaft trying to replace the bearings.
