Does anyone out there have any experience with those cordless sweepers, like the Shark, Swivel Sweeper, Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo 2880, etc.? I recently bought my first cordless sweeper(a Shark V600Z), and I would like to hear about other people's experiences with them, and which brands are the best. |

I bought a Shark sweeper only a few weeks ago for my mom and she's very happy with it. She likes it much better than her previous Eureka rechargable stick vac because it's lighter and a lot easier to empty, just slide the tray out and dump as opposed to taking that awful filter cone out of the mini vac. So far no problems but I had bought one for myself a year or two ago and it broke quickly..something stuck between the brushroll and the casing and stripped the gear. She uses it mainly in the kitchen and hallway/foyer. I think they're overpriced but I got hers at a store that sells alot of refurbished stuff so it was less than $20 |

which brush quit
Was it the main brush that stopped, or the side brush that stopped-stripped the gear on? |

Honestly I can't remember just that jammed up. The one I got mom a couple of weeks ago doesn't have those little revolving side brushes. |

battery indicator light
Also on mine, when the battery is fully charged, the red charging indicator light goes out-indicating a full charge. Is it supposed to do that? |

SWIVEL SWEEPER
Hi Phillip I have the swivel-swepper. I am trying to give this a fair deal. I find as far as cleaning rugs unless the rug is very thin it is not to good. We have a cat 13 years old ( peanut- butter) he has long hair we have wooden floors the sweeper does a good job on that what i would do is use it every day then once a week use my Kirby to hit arears where you need suction. The thing i DISLIKE the most is the unit has four brushes and cleaning the cat hair out takes longer then doing the floor with the Kirby. Then in cleaning the sweeper most times i have to get the Kirby out to aid in cleaning, So Phill in short if you have pets with short hair or no pets at all i would say it is good. It holds a charge for a week not bad so i hope this helps. Let me add one of my friends who is a school custodian uses one every night to clean the floors of course the has to buy extra batteries and he bought another machine I hope this helps, Have a wonderful holiday Doug |

hhmmmm
I wouldn't get a Shark. Euro Pro makes terrible products... I remember when I sold vacs for Sears, the Shark sweepers always had the handles breaking right where they pivot.

My Shark or its recharging cord died. Is the green charging light supposed to turn red when it gets a full charge? The camera battery charger does that. I got the Shark at Goodwill, and it was quite serviceable when it still worked. I wouldn't hesitate to toss it, I'd guess it would be cheaper to get a new one. |

it is possibly the charger. these chargers are known for pulling those kind of stunts |

Thanks for that information, now if I could locate a charger without spending a fortune for it. |

there should be one at your nearest electric store. also I would check out Radio Shack they have a wide variety of adaptors. Just check for the Voltage you need. |

Swivel Sweeper
I was given a Swivel Sweeper as a Christmas gift from my sister. I found that it picks up larger sized items better than it does small. For example, I use it to pick up little pieces of wood that fall in front of the fire place.

I have tried one at Lowes and they are pretty good as far as performance goes. |
