This subject came up in the off topic portion of the cooking forum I read and sometimes participate in. A number of people have these and like them. I went to the site and did notice they are Good Housekeeping approved.

While I rather enjoy vacuuming, I have to admit I like the red low-end model, and since I don't particularly care for hard floor cleaning, I could easily jump on the "Scooba" bandwagon. Heck, they'd be fun to have for collections' sake, and while I don't imagine or expect the vacuum would clean like a regular upright, certainly it could be a nice thing for freshening and surface dirt.

For what it does, the Roomba is a neat little device. I got one for $20 at a pawn shop last year. Sorry to admit that I can't use it because so many of my old rugs have fringe and the dogs go nuts when I turn it on. It does look well made, though. It makes me wonder about the Lux Trilobite, which cost around $1000.
