This is getting more difficult-US vacuum builders are drying up-Oreck,Kirby,Rainbow,Filter Queen,TriStar,Miracle Mate are a few still made here-and at present Hoover,Eureka commercial. That leaves us primarily DTD "High End" vacuums.but another word --many of these vacuum builders are OUTSOURCING parts from China and other places.Like Kirby is having their main outer bags made in China. |

At Least, Buy North American?
My Eureka Commercial True Hepa C5712A is "assembled in Mexico". Well, at least it's closer than Shanghai.

Rexair LLC manufactures all the Rainbows sold in 106 countries worldwide at its Cadillac, MI plant. They build their own motors onsite, something most manufacturers don't do. After attending a factory sponsored service seminar (I operate an Authorized Rainbow Service Center) I am absolutely awed at the incredible amount of details that Engineering at the Cadillac plant address. I would say that they have to have the most comprehensive engineering program of any manufacturer. The development of the switched reluctance (brushless) motor on the new e2 is the most obvious, but I've learned about how materials changes in small parts, etc., have been implemented to improve reliability of even the most minute details. While I sell several American built lines, the Rainbow is my favorite, and the one built by the largest American manufacturer. And it's still American owned, though they sell 600,000 machines every year around the world. |

...Look to the Rainbow....
I am very glad to hear that Rainbow/Rexair supports the American worker! I'm also glad to spend more on a product if I know the company supports our own workers...
