I recently bought a used Fantom Fury and am experamenting with eureka maxims vacuum bags and it seems to work very well. Can anyone tell me if this a good idea or money wasted? Last can anyone tell me if there are any cyclonic baged vacuums out there?

The Fantom Fury is a dual cyclone vacuum, designed by Iona to James Dyson's patents, which Iona licensed from Dyson. The fury uses the same motor as the Electrolux Discovery II upright (except that it's made by Lamb, like the replacement Lux upright motor), so it's not really all that powerful. A paper bag would ruin the efficiency of the machine as soon as you got dirt into it. |

I've had a cyclonic bagged vacuum for about seven years now. It's a Bissel Butler cannister vac. It has a smallish cone shaped cyclone on the telescopic extension wand, plus a regular paper bag inside the cannister.

And a HEPA exhaust filter will catch...
...what the cyclone and the bag misses (which can be considerable!)
