I decided to start a thread on central vacs. I have to say, tehy are my favorite for serious cleaning, and I haven't seen anything that I feel cleans better, or is easier to use, especially for attachment cleaning. I also have started collecting them and I am constantly looking for more units and attachments.

Wow, Reggie, I never would have thought that someone would collect central vacs! Looks like you have a pretty good collection started there.

THe cardboard carrier goes with my grandma's old central vac attachment set from about 1989. The utility valve is very nice in teh garage, MUCH better than a shop vac. The vacuum unit on the far right is a Kenmore unit from the late 70s/early 80s. Then the Black&Decker that was given to me by Fred S. It was the unit from his mom's house, untill it was replaced along with the inlets, which he gave me also. A very big thank you to him. And next to the B&D is a GE unit built by Beam. And not pictured here is my new Riccar unit which is installed in the house. My next addition will be a 3 motor Air-Flo unit. I hear these are VERY loud. |

Central Vacs
I've used both Electrolux & Hoover central vacs. Prefer the Hoover powernozzle over the 'Lux. Brighter lite! Marvelous. |
