I just got mine yesterday!!!! Fun! Fun! Fun!

For me... no tools on the cleaner, yet. Haven't decided if I want them on or off.

Cord loosely wound in circles, and stuffed underneath the handle...

Like so~

PS - Seamus...

I ordered a handle for you... but, after the fact, I realized all of the trim on the Satellite is black. Still want it? You could probably do a sticker transplant. :-)

Fred....

The Stainless one has black trim ;)

Guess a sticker transplant could work tho :)

Cord and tools

We had this very discussion at Tarantula Arms with Little Fred and Jeff when they brought me the latest addition to the collection. I tend to agree with Fred, cord through the handle is probably the easiest. The nice thing about these machines is that there are three places to store the cord - through the handle, around the handle and around the base. Since the machine floats nicely, you can wrap the cord around the base while it is running. Hmmm. I sense a video coming on. . .

I don't like tools on the wand, just my preference, but with this machine you can store them on the wand or the bottom of the handle. The bottom of the handle can also be used to park the wand. Lovely!!

New Connie questions??

That brushed stainless Satellite is beautiful! Does it come with a floor brush?? Where do you think I might come across buying one here in this sand-pit known as Las Vegas???

Can you tell me which major retailers are carrying this? I'm in Texas.

Re: retailers

Got mine at an authorized Hoover Dealer here in town. Don't know they've hit (or will) larger retailers eventually.

new Connie

I sell the new Hoover Constellation. I buy them from Steel City Vacuum Supply for resale. Have sold 22 so far. Mostly to people who come in wanting to buy an Oreck. I turn on the Connie and they just go crazy for it. I will say that the turbo brush works well on a variety of carpets, but NOT high pile Oriental rugs.

Hoover's price for 2 bags is $19.99. Very expensive for two bags. Ten dollars thrown into the trash can. But, the regular Micro Filtration Hoover type S bags work very well and they are three for $5.

Satellite bags.....

Retail over here for approx £4.50 for a pack of 2 including the filter-thats only about $8.10- major price difference!!!

Nope...

$19.99 was the price, originally. The retail and dealer price was lowered significantly. Retail is $8.99, and dealer price is $4.something.

(For the HEPA bags).

They still aren't available yet, or we don't have them yet, anyways...
Soon, though!

But, yes... Micro Filtration S bags do work just fine.

the way i do it

With mine when not in use I have the cord under the handle and I have the wand attached to the end of the handle with the tool carrier attached on the wand. When I use it here at home I take the tool carrier set it down on my desk and vacuum, When I bring it to use at my sister's I put the tool carrier on the end of the handle. Boy do I love this constellion
