ive mostly been exposed to vintage Hoover ads on eBay and thru groups like this. it seems i see ads for the Hoover 28 MUCH more than for the deluxe model 61. was it advertised more heavily than the 61? any theories why? |

The answer is simple. It was a much less expensive machine. Unless customers are educated as to why they should pay more for the more deluxe model, they'll always go for the cheaper one. |

The 61 sold new for about $100 in 1946, plus more $$$ for the tools.
