Surely that infringes on Dyson's patents? I thought as they currently stand, they prohibit other manufacturers from producing machines with multiple cyclones? Hence him successfully suing Hoover over the design of their original UK Vortex machines, which had 2... |

Say NO to Euro-Pro!
Those have to be the absolute cheapest, crappiest vacuums EVER. While this silly thing claims to have 24 cyclones, no mention is made that they appear to be test-tube sized and probably a marketing hype at the very most! No thanks...give me a REAL Dyson anyday! |

Hmmm...
For a second I didn't see the price, and given the list of parts underneath I was thinking you had to buy it piece by piece A-LA Handy Dandy Vacuum Clenaer!

commercial on TV
I can't remember which channel I was watching yesterday(Either the Food Network or TLC) but I saw a commercial for the Infinity which shows people beating and smashing their old vacuums because they lose suction. One one of the victims was even an old Hoover PowerMax! Then they slid into the new Infinity that never loses suction...

I have been seeing the same commercial Jeff often on HGTV. Wonder the same thing, who makes this machine. It does look like it would have on-board attachments but in the ad I have seen you can't tell for sure. |

Dyson RIP OFF
The Infinity is a joke. Mostly because it isn't possible for the machine to work properly.

Good point of the non tapered Infinity cyclones-I used to work with woodshop dust collector cyclones-and they have to be tapered to work.I don't see how Infinity cyclones can work. However all cyclones need a filter after them to catch the very "fines"The filter that is in the Dyson does this.In shop dust collectors-a baghouse, bag filter-or very large pleated filter catches the fines. One of the tasks I had was emptying the unit-A large trash barrel fits under the main cyclone-and that catches large shavings, wood blocks,etc.-the fines one would catch sanding dust and very fine sawdust. You pulled a lever to "shake" the fines bag to get the dust to fall into another trash barrel.the single cyclone was made from sheet metal and stood about 10 ft tall. The suction motor blower was on top-was 7 HP.It had to collect the wood dust from several woodworking machines-from table saws to sanders and to a 36" surface planer-that planer generated most of the debris. |
