Well, I don't suppose there's any harm in promoting one's own eBay listings is there...!

Do these machines have decent suction, or do they have the same motor as the old Rennaissance model? |

Epic
Yes, the turbo tool is older, from the first G (note the turquoise trim) but it came with the machine when I got it so I am including it. This tool in this color is pretty scarce, as not too long after the G went into production Electrolux came out with the larger, plastic rug washer. I have a G instruction manual with a new page printed about the Rug Washer that was stuck on over the old one showing the Turbotool.

KENMORE MAGIC BLUE
hey charles, i have the magic blue too, I love it very much it is small very quiet and has terrific suction. I have both the straight suction model and the one with the power nozzle, the only thing i hate about the power nozzle one is the hose is pretty stiff |

Electrolux
I forgot I also have a siverado at my moms and I have a marquis model here (similar) and i do love it we have always had electrolux( can't wait till mom gives me her old G) but I had a renaissance ( didnt like it, too big and bulky and noisy) so I gave it to my mom... but I do like my electrolux have the mathching upright for the ren but hardly ever use my Electroluxs... Epic
Charles that is one beautiful Epic You have and I must say I love the color of it. But I have to say those vacs have a very high winning bid on them as I watch all the ending auctionings and I have yet to see one end under 200.00 but I'm sure they are well worth it. I have a Renaissance as well that I totally love but mine is very quiet not loud at all, my power nozzle is louder then the vacuum cleaner , I have have the magic blue kenmore but I don'ty have the power nozzle with mine but I love that little monster it is one of my most used vacuum cleaners

Magic Blue Attachments
The one thing I dislike - GREATLY - about the Magic Blue are the VERY crummy attachments that come with it. Pure junk! So I too use an Electrolux floor brush and combination dusting brush! Mine has two hoses - as someone pointed out, the electric hose is pretty stiff, and not very long (*) - so I have a second standard hose that I use with the attachments. Actually, I performed a bit of vivesection and have a double-length straight suction hose! When the Magic Blue first started turning up on eBay, they were only going for $20-30 so I went on a buying frenzy and got four of them! One with the electric power nozzle, two with no power attachment at all, and one with the turbo attachment. I did not need all the machines, and one of them was making strange motor noises. So I sacrificed the hose from it. Doing some very delicate surgery (**), I joined two hoses together. Photos to come.

Nice job on the modifications to you Magic Blue! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who like to play Dr. Frankenstein with the machines! LOL |
